LaKeeya Tucker, D.O.

 Dr. LaKeeya Tucker attended Youngstown State University where she received her undergraduate degree in biology, chemistry and math. Her medical school education was completed at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. 

Dr. Tucker relocated to Michigan after medical school and completed her internship and residency training at St John Detroit Riverview and Macomb Hospital in the Detroit, MI area.  She then became a partner at Alliance ObGyn where she has practiced for 22 years. During this time, she has maintained full privileges at Sparrow Hospital. Dr. Tucker was elected to serve as Chief of Staff of Sparrow Hospital as of January 1, 2022, for a 2-year term. She is the 1st Black woman to have served in this capacity at Sparrow Hospital. She is a current member of the Sparrow Hospital Board.

She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.  Dr. Tucker is a member of ACOG, ACOOG, and many other medical organizations. She is the President Elect for The Ingham Osteopathic Association.

Some of her areas of special interest in medicine include bleeding, medical and surgical management of fibroids. She is highly skilled in performing DaVinci Myomectomy and hysterectomies. Dr. Tucker also specializes in treating patients with endometriosis and polycystic ovarian syndrome as well as other gynecology issues. She is skilled in performing in-office procedures such as: IUD insertions, LEEPs, Colposcopy, Endosee, saline infusion sonohysterograms, hysteroscopy and ablations. 

Dr. Tucker welcomes all patients for routine gynecology care, problem visits, routine and difficult pregnancy management. 

Dr. Tucker has a philanthropic spirit.  She has been and continues to remain active with many projects, committees and community service.

She aspires to continue giving back, improving the health of the community and is always striving to make a difference in the lives of others.

Her favorite hobby is spending time with her family.
